One of the most commonly used hypnotic brainwashing techniques today is the "Yes momentum" tactic. The person who makes the offer will ask you few related questions that'll likely lead to "YES" as answers from you.

This tactic is know to be powerful enough to break people's defense mechanism. This almost every time paralyze their rationality and crash their sales barriers. Let me explain how it works, assuming you are my customer.

"Do you love your family members?"

"You of course cherish their companion, don't you?"

"Do you want them to be in the best of health always?"

"Would you like to receive a FREE consultation on how to stay healthy and prevent sickness for your family members?"

I bet that your answers are "YES" for the questions above. Look at the first question. I used the emotional words such as "love" and "family members". What did the question triggered you to think in your mind? Of course you'll start to think of your family members and visualize all the happy moments that you shared with them.

Whether you believe it or not, your rationality gets paralyzed or go down to the maximum level as your emotions will take over your thoughts. This is the reason why many people buying things on emotions then try to justify with their rationality (logic). Naturally, the rest of the questions triggered you to answer as "Yes" and took you to a hypnotic state.

After the series of those questions, my last question became compelling enough to convince you to give me an opportunity to introduce my offer by using the word "Free". Now I hope you can see how powerful this technique can be to persuade people.
