By Trevor Johnson

Many people out there do not believe in hypnosis. Hundreds of people believe that it is all set up as an illusion, or that the people the hypnotist is working with are actors. In many cases, this is true, however, you do get hypnotist that do it properly. So, what is hysnosis used for?

If you went to a therapist you will find that any good therapist is able to do hypnosis on you. This is called hypnotherapy, and is very popular in the psychological industry. Many people go to therapist just for this type of therapy - any you thought all you need to do it talk!

Hypnosis is used on a very wide spectrum, and can help the user with a large amount of problems. The first thing hypnosis was used for is to help a person quite smoking. It was believed that if the hypnotherapist could fool the brain into thinking that it never needed a cigarette in its life, that it would not need one again.

The whole process turned out to work, and people started doing hypnosis to help them quit smoking. It should be said that this process was not an overnight thing. However, once it was mastered, the hypnotherapists moved on to doing more with hypnosis. The next thing they turned to was weight loss. This, after some time, also become a success, and people started using this method of weight lose too.

The hypnotherapy in this regard was not telling the brain that the person is thin, and thus made the person thin. It is a bit more complicated than that. It all came down to finding out what the person ate and why. The hypnotherapist then went to the root of the problem and made the person not like the specific food making that person fat.

It turned out that weight-loss hypnotherapy helped the patient not want to eat as much as they did before. This then made the person lose weight over time. - 31857
